Upon your arrival to the emergency room

A veterinarian will ask you a series of questions about your pet’s illness and perform a thorough physical examination. Recommendations for further diagnostics and/or treatments will be made which you may accept or decline.

How much will it cost?

VRCC will provide you with a written estimate of anticipated fees for treatments and procedures at the time of admission to the hospital. A down payment is required at admission to the hospital, with the balance due at discharge.

A hallmark of VRCC is round-the-clock care.

How long will my pet have to stay?

Many emergency patients are evaluated, treated, and sent home on the same day. Patients requiring extended diagnostics or procedures may need to stay longer. Generally, surgical cases should expect at least an overnight stay to provide for postoperative monitoring and pain management. The doctor caring for your pet will discuss this with you.

VRCC is an emergency vet clinic staffed 24 hours a day, and clients are informed of their hospitalized pet’s status on a daily basis. You can call us at any time for an update. Visitation of patients is encouraged (visiting hours are 2PM-4PM and 8PM-10PM Monday through Friday, 8AM-10PM Saturday and Sunday). During emergency hours, we have specialists on call from both the internal medicine and surgery departments. You can feel confident that your pets’ needs will not go unattended at VRCC.
